Databases in the wild

Diagrams from the two papers below

There is a gap between how academics and industry practitioners approach database systems. Assumptions made by academics are not always safe in the real world, and assumptions made by industry practitioners are sometimes overfit to their specific use cases. This project questions assumptions of both groups and aims to bridge the gap between them.
