On Views and XML

Summary: Advocates XML views that meld object-DB view concepts (e.g., ODMG) with semistructured/incomplete-data support to integrate heterogeneous XML. Proposes declarative XML view languages combining transformations, richer query expressiveness, and distributed concerns (replication, notifications). (summarized by gpt-5-mini on Feb 09 2026)
