An Efficient and Scalable Approach to CNN Queries in a Road Network

Summary: UNICONS accelerates nearest-neighbor and continuous NN queries over road networks by integrating precomputed NN lists into Dijkstra’s algorithm. A mathematical formulation derives CNN results, delivering up to 3.5× and 5× speedups over network-distance methods, especially across varying object densities.
