Lotus: Scalable Multi-Partition Transactions on Single-Threaded Partitioned Databases

Summary: Lotus rehabilitates H-Store/VoltDB’s RCST concurrency control, improving multi-partition throughput with little single-partition cost. MEST multiplexes MP execution to hide network stalls, achieving up to 21× higher SP throughput and robustness to stragglers. (summarized by gpt-5.6-luna on Jul 24 2026)
