Counting Is All You Need for Instant Tuple Discovery: Enabling Real-Time HTAP in Standalone DBMSs
Summary: Presents TracerETL: a progressive ETL for standalone DBMSs using Tracer, a per-partition counting scheme that builds deterministic trace vectors encoding each tuple’s relocation path and arrival order. Enables instant tuple discovery without auxiliary indexes, supporting in-place real-time HTAP and up to 127× PostgreSQL speedups during progressive conversion.
